As fans of gospel music we all love to see Gospel artist doing well and gaining recognition. The music that makes it to the billboards does just that. It shows us what music is the hottest and basically what we should be listening to. WOW Gospel 2010 with a release last month already makes an impressive debut atop the Billboard Top Gospel Charts. The album also debuts at #40 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts which is the collective chart for “all” albums in all genres! “Encore”, which was released the same day as WOW is the new album from James Fortune & FIYA debuting at #2 and charting #14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts and #51 on theBillboard Top 200 Albums charts. I read on James Fortune twitter account that his album “Encore” in the first week out sold his last album “Transformation” in its first 6 months (wow).  On the rest of the billboard charts you have BeBe & CeCe Winans’ “Still” moves to the #3  and “The Master Plan” from Tamela Mann take the #4 spot. Fred Hammond’s still solidifying himself as a gospel great staying among the Top 5 with “Love Unstoppable”.
